24-02. Hello 24 Be Kind to Us

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from January 9th

Well here we are, 2024, so far it has been filled with a nasty RSV virus which went through the whole family, but that is not going to hold me back, I have things to accomplish in 2024.

It was not a great start to a new year; the RSV virus rapid, my nose blocked, my chest coughing, I was tired, etc., but I have things to do, so virus, you have had your day, and it is time for me to get going.

I published my own book last year, just an e-book for now, paperback and audio coming. I have had a really nice feedback on it, and that is a nice feeling. Now time for the next book Our Forgotten Children series. I have a Authors summit to do this week, create all their authors page, and finalize the book to go to the publisher. If all goes well and no more delays, the book will be out by the end of February.

I am in two more anthology books, coming out soon, plus starting the Ask the Authors platform. So there is no time for sickness, but production. Although I know, that if I do not allow for healing, it will prolong the illness and slow me down even more.

So when we get these rude interruptions, how do we manage them? First, allow the first 24 hours of illness or chaos to reveal its self, then access what the best action is.

Step one: If ill, rest, water, sleep. If you are sick, you are not good to anyone, so look after yourself. I know it is hard when you have obligations, but delegate, postpone, and allow yourself through the?first 48 hours at least to get over the hump.

Step Two: If it is a delay, interruption or flat out crisis in your business, do not react until you have taken a breath, walked away to recalibrate, and calmed down so you can access the issue without panic. You can not think straight while in a crisis mode, so go do what you need to do so you an come back calm and clear and then you will see a solution to the problem.

Step Three: Delegate; passing something on that you cannot deal with now is ok. If there is no one to pass on to, then postpone; if people need help understanding, do you want them as clients anyway? Do not compromise yourself to please someone else.

Step Four: If it can’t be done today, there is always tomorrow. I know this all too well. Things pile up even though you thought you had paced them well, haha; a traffic jam is now on your plate, and you feel panicked about it. Could you put off what is not urgent and address what needs to be addressed right now? Then, with the next item, you will get it all done without panic and with more clarity.

These are my new year tips. it is where I am right now. A head full of cold, but projects to deal with. So I do what I can bit by bit, and allow my self to rest, recoup and renew my energy to get fully back in the game.

It is ok to say NO, To Postpone, To delegate, to redirect. If you push yourself too hard, you will accomplish nothing.

So happy New Year to everyone, may 2024 be kind to us and may we fulfill the dreams we have for this year with some ease.

23-51. My Self Discovery is Published.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from December 19th

Well, the time has come – my book is finally out, albeit currently just in e-book format. It’s an odd feeling, putting your life’s story down on paper. Reading it back feels like reliving my journey, with each page turning into a surprising exploration of my past.

Originally, my plan was to record everything and then transcribe it, but instead, I took a three-week break from work and just let my fingers do the talking. My story flowed out naturally. This seems to be a recurring theme in my life; I often start with one plan in mind, but then my soul takes over, steering me in a different, yet invariably a better, direction.

Now that my book is out there for anyone to read, it feels like it’s no longer just mine. It’s a liberating feeling, though. And soon, it won’t just be an e-book – I’m working on getting it published in paperback and as an audio version too.

I’ve reached a point where I’m at peace with not knowing how my book will be received. I’ve learned to let go of that concern. After all, we can only be true to ourselves, and it’s up to others whether they see us for who we are. How my book is interpreted and what readers take from it is beyond my control. My hope is that by sharing my own journey from self-discovery to living soulfully, I might inspire or help someone else on their path. If my experiences and reflections can open even one door for someone else on their soul journey, then sharing my story will have been worth it.

I have put together another anthology called Our Forgotten Children, filled with authors who have dedicated their lives to our children and know the changes needed for them to grow in life.

I am also in another anthology book called Dare to Live Fearlessly, speaking to facing our fears.

Sara is authoring in 3 books

Over the next few months I will be launching three books that I have co-authored and authored.

The first one is a glimpse into my life and how I got to where I am today; My Self Discovery to Soul Living, it covers my early childhood and the obstacle of being a spiritual child who saw things she did not understand and had a knowingness that was beyond her compression.

I was a sickly child, I was given Ashama and Eczema at the age of two when the Asian flu went through England. This left me going in and out of hospital and spending days and weeks in bed when I got a cold and bronchitis. With 4 white walls looking at me, I had no option but to dimensional travel for my sanity.

This led to opening my soul and spirit to seeing things others did not see ,and showed me that my connection with the divine was where my truth and purpose laid and my heart was full with it. This presented an issue in the world as being a spiritual being was not fashionable and not always a safe place to be in this human world. Living as a human was very difficult for me as trying to fit in was like a round shape trying to fit in a triangle.

Our Forgotten Children’s book speaks Our Children who Represent Our Future. They Are The Promise Of Our Nations, Carrying Forward Our Traditions, Our Values, And Our Aspirations. However, It’s Disheartening To See That We Are Consistently Failing To Provide Them With The Resources, Opportunities, And Support They Need To Thrive. Our authors speak to the issues and what we can apply as solutions to seed and help grow our wonderful children.

A summit with the authors is coming mid January, the book launches in February and in March there will be “Ask the Author’s” platform, where readers can ask each authors on the subject of their chapter and cause.

To see the full line up of authors and summit event and launch on February 20th go here.

Being a part of these books has been an honour, and finally sharing my own story was a journey in its self. Even though have been podcasting for nearly 12 years with my own network, and blogging for over 20 years; writing a book revealing your past and how I came to be where I am now, was an experience in its self, one where I learned a great deal about my self.

Contributing to the Dare to be Fearless book was a reflection of my own fear, and writing in Our Forgotten Children’s book, amongst such other authors was yet a challenge but also a realization of a dream to produce this book finally after 5 years of dreaming of it.

Though we have a dream and it does come into view straight away, if we allow, it will come when the people and the time is right, and then, many doors open tapping into the good vibrations of a collectiveness and inspirations.

This is the time and with more collaborative books to come, I have tapped into the positive energy and I allow my waters to run free and allow what ever is to be, to be. .

23-49. December is Calling.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from December 5th

It’s that joyful time of year again—December has arrived, bringing with it a whirlwind of festive cheer and excitement! Everywhere you look, the spirit of Christmas is in full swing. The streets and shops are bustling with people eagerly engaged in their holiday shopping, each person hunting for the perfect gifts to surprise their loved ones. Kitchens are alive with the delightful aromas of baking, as families and friends come together to create delicious treats and share cherished recipes.

In the midst of all this, we’re also wrapping up important tasks. Businesses are busy closing out the year, finalizing projects, and setting the stage for a prosperous new year. Parents are proudly watching their children complete another successful school year, reflecting on the growth and achievements made.

And then, amidst all this delightful chaos, there’s the balancing act we all perform—juggling the demands of daily life with the added excitement and responsibilities of the holiday season. It’s a hectic time, but it’s filled with joy, warmth, and the priceless opportunity to create lasting memories with those we hold dear.

I am Celebrating two daughters’ birthdays around Christmas and it certainly adds an extra layer of excitement and joy to our December! It’s wonderful to embrace this bustling time with such a positive spirit. Balancing their special days with the Christmas festivities is indeed a unique challenge, but we can handle it with care and love.

Ensuring that each daughter feels special on her birthday is crucial, especially when it’s so close to Christmas. It’s important to separate their birthday gifts from Christmas presents, so each occasion feels distinct and equally celebrated. This thoughtful approach shows that the birthday their special days matters to us.

To manage the financial and emotional aspects of this busy season, it’s helpful to plan ahead. Budgeting for gifts and celebrations in advance can ease the financial strain. Maybe consider setting aside a separate budget for each daughter’s birthday and Christmas, so you can track expenses more effectively.

To avoid burnout, remember to take some time for yourself amidst the preparations. Self-care is vital during busy times like these. Delegate tasks where you can, and don’t hesitate to simplify plans if it helps maintain your well-being and enjoyment of the season. Think Pot-Luck dishes, they are so much fun.

I often speak of loneliness on my shows, especially during the holiday season. Loneliness can indeed have a profound impact on individuals, and your effort to bring awareness and support to those who might be feeling isolated or forgotten is commendable to any and all of you.

There are several ways you can reach out and make a difference:

  1. Community Events: Organizing or participating in community events that are specifically designed to include those who might be alone during the holidays can be a great way to show you care. This could be a communal meal, a holiday concert, or a simple get-together.
  2. Volunteering: Offering your time at shelters, soup kitchens, or senior centers can have a big impact. It’s not just about the physical help but also about showing those who are alone that they are valued and remembered.
  3. Outreach Programs: Working with local charities and organizations to create outreach programs for the homeless or those living alone can help bring warmth and companionship to their lives. This could include delivering holiday meals, care packages, or personal notes.
  4. Media Platform: Since you’ve mentioned doing shows on the subject, using your media platform to discuss the issue of loneliness during the holidays can raise awareness. You can share stories, provide resources, and encourage listeners to reach out in their communities.
  5. Personal Gestures: Sometimes, a small personal gesture can make a big difference. This could be as simple as visiting a neighbor, sending a card, or making a phone call to someone who might be spending the holidays alone.

Remember, the key is to show genuine care and make a heartfelt connection. Even the smallest act of kindness can bring a great deal of comfort and joy to someone who is feeling isolated.

Let’s embrace this festive season with open arms, cherishing each moment, and spreading the joy and love that this time of year is all about. Happy December!

Here’s to a delightful and memorable December filled with birthday cakes, Christmas cheer, and lots of love!

23-48. The Gift of Family.

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from November 28th

Family, the fabric of life woven with threads of love, laughter, and shared memories. For some, it’s a complex tapestry, a mix of joy and challenges. But in my experience, it’s a masterpiece of affection and warmth.

I am blessed with three remarkable grown children, their loving spouses, and three delightful grandchildren. Each one a unique strand, adding strength and beauty to the family bond. We recently gathered by a serene lake, a tranquil retreat from the world’s hustle. There, embraced by nature’s tranquility, we basked in the joy of togetherness.

Our days were filled with laughter echoing across the water, the warmth of shared stories, and the delight of great food. In those moments, the essence of family was palpable, a feeling of belonging and unconditional love.

It’s in these gatherings, simple yet profound, that the true gift of family reveals itself. It’s not just in the big celebrations, but in the quiet, cozy moments over looking the lake, where the world slows down, and we truly connect. This is the gift I cherish, the gift of a family bound not just by blood, but by an unbreakable bond of love and joy.

My journey as a parent and theirs as children, is a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment. Despite the challenges that arose from my separation 23 years ago from their father, our unwavering dedication to being a part of each others lives has cultivated a family dynamic that is both unique and strong.

In the tapestry of your family, each thread represents the differences and similarities that make our unit special. These diverse strands, woven together, have created a rich and vibrant pattern, a testament to the love and effort we’ve invested.

Our story is one of resilience and determination, showcasing that physical distance and past circumstances don’t define the strength of familial bonds. Instead, it’s the effort to remain connected, the willingness to embrace both similarities and differences, and the capacity to nurture love that truly matters.

This unity, born out of our commitment and love, has undoubtedly shaped a family culture where respect, understanding, and affection flourish. My children and grandchildren, influenced by our example, will likely learned the value of perseverance, the beauty of diversity, and the warmth of unconditional love.

Our family, a tight unit forged through years of shared experiences and nurtured relationships, stands as a beautiful illustration of what it means to overcome obstacles and maintain a bond that thrives on love and mutual respect.

May your family be foundered on love, and may you always be a unit of that love no matter the challenges.
