Gerald Molen, Academy Award-winning producer of Schindler’s List, brings the fight against child sex trafficking to the big screen with the release of the documentary THE ABOLITIONISTS, was in partnership with Fathom Events for a one-night event in select movie theatres. Featuring former CIA and Homeland Security operative Tim Ballard, the documentary contains undercover footage from rescue operations conducted around the world.
Human trafficking has become the world’s fastest-growing crime, with over 27 million people enslaved–nearly 2 million of them children. THE ABOLITIONISTS takes viewers behind the scenes as Ballard and his team of highly trained operatives risk their own lives to free innocent children from captivity.
On December 10th, 2013, Special Agent Tim Ballard turned in his Homeland Security badge and resigned from his employment with the United States government after spending a decade rescuing children from child sex tourism domestically and overseas. Though his job was difficult, he was proud that his country was one of very few in the world actually doing anything about this problem.
However, despite the U.S. government’s best efforts, Tim observed that red tape and bureaucracy left many children falling through the cracks. These children constitute over 90% of the children lost to child sex slavery, and Tim could do nothing to help them while in the employment of the US government.
Now the Founder and CEO of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), Ballard and his team investigate and rescue enslaved children from around the world, while undercover film crews posing as traffickers record each of these dangerous rescue operations.
Utilizing hidden cameras and surveillance equipment, directors Darrin Fletcher and Chet Thomas capture every moment of freedom fighters triumphing over evil that will leave viewers inspired to join in the fight of THE ABOLITIONISTS.

Timothy Ballard is the Founder and CEO of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.). He also serves as O.U.R.’s Jump Team Commander for rescue operations. Ballard began his career at the CIA where he dealt with terrorism and Latin America. He spent over a decade working as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security where he was assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and deployed as an undercover operative for the U.S. Child Sex Tourism Jump Team.
Tim has worked every type of case imaginable in the fight to dismantle child trafficking rings. Ballard has worked undercover in the U.S. and in multiple foreign countries to infiltrate child trafficking organizations. In this effort, he has successfully dismantled dozens of these organizations and rescued countless children from sex slavery. He is an expert at managing Internet investigations, particularly those dealing with file-share networks where pedophiles and traffickers go to trade in child pornography. He has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers at home and abroad in best practices to liberate children from sex slavery.

Growing up as mixed in the 80’s I was marked as “yellow”. I was too young to understand other cultures, or that I am half Chinese, half British. I did dream of having blue eyes like my Mother though…. As I grew older mixed culture was part of every day life, our friends were Italian, Western, Chinese, Japanese, East Indian, African…..we saw more people in Canada, especially in B.C. be of mixed race, not even just immigrants but black and white couples, Latino and European kids etc. We knew no difference we were all just kids.
Since releasing “Lori Leak Travels to Paris” I have been sharing it across the Internet and using to engage in conversations on-line and in local groups, about empowering girls. Lori Leak was published just before the 1000 Black Girl Books movement, which sparked attention to the lack of children’s literature featuring female heroines and role models for Black girls. This is an important conversation, globally. Currently, I am busy introducing the Lori Leak to libraries and classrooms in Denmark where I am residing right now. “Lori Leak Travels to Paris” is being used to teach English to 4th through 6th grade Danish children.
I founded Holistic World with the vision of opening Holistic World centers globally. The mission of the centers being that to provide a modern day sanctuary on the high street for the mind body and soul. Stemming from my wish to provide inspiration and good well-being for my children and children all over the world I had the idea to write a series of children ’s yoga books which children could read and enjoy individually or as an adult. The aim of the Magnificent Me, Magnificent You series is to highlight to children the many wonderful qualities they have within and also the amazing beauty and power of the natural world.
