As an entrepreneur for 40 years, a stage 4 cancer thriver and a student of consciousness I could speak to many topics. But if I had to pick a common theme that runs through my life and which I have devoted my career to it would be one of perseverance under pressure and often against immense odds.

I think spreading the message of self-belief, self-respect and self-love is my most powerful passion. As a poor student from a low-income family who moved often and never went to college I somehow accomplished more than I ever thought possible. My story is one of “If I can do it you can too. And love yourself enough to try!”

In my teachings of soul awareness I find that it is when you teach the woman to embrace womanhood we end up teaching the world what gifts a woman is. I do not want to be a man to own my equality, I do not want to think like a man to be heard. I am woman with a broad spectrum of understanding that needs that balance of woman and man.

When we stop apologizing for thinking, feeling, and living like a woman we may give men a chance to know us in our own strength, in our own empowerment and know what positive energies we bring to the whole. Women, you want to teach your sons how to respect and value women, start by respecting and valuing yourself. Women, you want to be seen in all your feminine light, step into to the glorious light of womanhood. A man will treat you in the value you give yourself, in the truth of your soul in the purpose of your spirit. So stand tall woman of the world and be the wonderful feminine being you are and live in that embracement of inner love for all to see.

I have battled my entire life trying to be what a man wants of me, only to let myself down, and in turn them, for I could not be what I am not, but only whom I am, see me, hear me, for who I am., for I am heart, soul joy and love.

Now at the grand age of 68 years young, and doing what I love interviewing people who make a difference in the lives of others, I am in my element, I am being my true self, and the Sara you see on air is the woman I am. The beauty of doing it on line is they see my eyes which sparkle in truth, hear my voice of conviction, see my essence of being, and I am not judged for my weight, health, or wealth status, but only by the woman I am, me.

I am deserving of respect, for I give it; I am worthy of wealth, for I give it. I am deserving of love, for I give it in spades. All I ask is that you see us, women, from the inside out, see our hearts, souls, wisdom, spirit, and mind, not just the body or what you want from us. See us for the abundance we are, and do not be intimidated by it, for we are not here to replace you but walk side by side in respect, self-value, divine intellect, and abundance. We ask you to rise up and meet us on this higher plane and join us in all that is possible when we choice to see each other from the inside out.

A Little More About Me…

Most people wouldn’t expect the same personality who does engineering to also be a life coach.  So how did I go from engineer to life coach?

I’ve had some defining moments along my journey. They always came with a fair amount of discomfort. One of those moments occurred while I was working in Toronto as an HVAC engineer.  One weekend my wife and I were driving north to Sudbury in our Honda Accord to see family. We were talking about the new job I had started six months earlier.

I remember saying to her, “I feel depressed.”

My wife says, “Is it me?”

“No, of course it’s not you,” I said. “It’s the work I’m doing.”

I felt this rigid programming take over when I was in my job.  It was as if there were two of me. One part of me felt that I should keep everyone happy.  Keep the peace. Don’t ruffle any feathers.  Don’t rock the boat.  Don’t do anything that will upset anyone.  Don’t stand up for yourself, especially if it might upset someone else. We wouldn’t want that.

The other part of me (the real me) was screaming inside to do the things that made me feel happy, to be true to myself, to honor my feelings. I needed to speak up for myself at meetings when I felt guided to do that. I needed to explore, to be creative, to try new things, to be less rigid and more adventurous.

The real me was getting louder and louder. I knew I needed to make a change, but the truth was I felt trapped.  One part of me had taken the job in Toronto because it was the ‘right thing to do’ and the ‘money was good.’ Yet the real me was pushing to emerge. It wouldn’t stand down.

I started working on projects for two different senior engineers. They both had conflicting ideas about which projects were the most important. Imagine walking into a meeting where you’re told that project X needs to be your highest priority. You leave that meeting and walk into another meeting five minutes later, and you’re told by a totally different supervisor that project Y is more important than project X.

It was driving me nuts. I was pulling my hair out because I wanted both supervisors to be happy with me. I had the so-called “disease to please”. I was miserable.  Pleasing others was a trap I had created for myself. I desperately wanted out.

That’s when I started looking for answers. I decided to open my mind to new ideas. I decided I was going to do something different because the pain and internal discomfort were too much to bear. I had to change course, so I started reading books and becoming more receptive to new ideas, AND THAT CHANGED MY LIFE COMPLETLY.

Victor started his career as an innovator in plant-based culinary art, having co- founded the first organic gourmet raw food restaurant in North America called RAW.
