I wanted to share my love of the outdoors and interest in the environment. Children can become empowered by reading about other children adventures and that leads them to many activities and adventures.
I’ve done many things in my life, but after getting an undergraduate degree in European History, I got an MBA and got licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. Starting out, I worked in several technology jobs, I managed a 16-attorney law firm, I taught accounting at the community college, and I finally took the leap and opened my own business of developing and managing self storage facilities. After retiring, I wanted to stay active and thought it would be fun to write a book for my grandchildren. My whole family skis, so this prompted me to undertake the first book, Tucker the Sno-Cat. That is when I went looking for an illustrator and co-author and found Annette Zack. After some success with the first book, we decided to write another one titled, Flotsam and Jetsam and other Beach Treasures.

Did you know that one of the most important ways to help your child is simply by talking with them frequently starting as early as birth? The period of birth to age five is a crucial time for language development because at this age the spoken word develops naturally as a result of various types of stimulation. Brain growth, self-confidence, and vocabulary can be enhanced through talking, playing, and reading with your child every day. As parents and caregivers interact with their little one, they can use various strategies and techniques at home or when on the go to help their child develop communication skills. This all begins by having an understanding that children under the age of five experience the majority of their learning opportunities during regular daily routines and playtime. When you take the time to adjust your day-to-day interactions and your everyday routines that you are already engaging in, you can increase opportunities for speech and language development in your child and share special bonding moments together. So, let’s take advantage of daily routines that allow your child to understand and use language and get them ready for school success!!
Jo Ann Gramlich works as a Children’s Speech-Language Pathologist and uses her optimistic nature to empower children to be confident in their own voice so they can be heard and recognized out in the world. It all begins by Jo Ann teaching and helping children to tap into their imagination and skillful mind. She feels her philosophy of making learning fun and educational will bring out the best in children and help them explore their own creative abilities during the early years and beyond.
Jo Ann’s award-winning children’s books, Talk Play and Read with Me Mommy & Talk, Play, And Read With Me Daddy were inspired from her personal passion of working with children. She also published Talk, Play, And Read With Me Mommy Interactive eBook which includes interactive games filled with colorful animation, sound effects, and audio recordings that make a child’s learning experience enjoyable and fun. She continues to share her message with parents, caregivers, and educators to help bring awareness of the importance of early intervention and language development for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

My ‘why’ for sharing is grounded in my desire to help others thrive. I believe that through information sharing others are able to be equipped with the tools that they need to thrive in their lives.
Alexandria Johnson is from the beautiful islands of The Bahamas. Her experiences throughout her life have sparked a fire to help others. She enjoys helping people live optimally from the inside out. She has an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, a Master of Science in Child Forensic Studies: Psychology and Law and is completing a Ph.D. in Christian Education. She completed specialized training in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Coordination, Substance Use Treatment for Adolescents and Adults and Non-Profit Management. She completed certifications as a Cognitive Behavioral Life Coach, a Christian Life Coach, and in Youth Leadership. For the past eleven years, she has used her training to help people across the lifespan who are presented with mental health challenges.
She actively serves in ministry. She is an ordained Youth Pastor and Minister. She enjoys helping others grow spiritually and has received numerous awards for her ministry. For the past 15 years, she has been invited to speak at private and public organizations, clubs, churches, and schools both nationally and internationally. She has also been a featured speaker on webinars, podcasts, and talk shows promoting mental and spiritual wellness. She enjoys sharing messages of inspiration through writing. She is a three-time best-selling author. She is the co-author and author of nine books with a focus on building spiritual and mental wellness. She serves as the Chief Executive Office at Winners Avenue Books, Salt and Light International and Getaway Travel Agency. She enjoys serving others and instilling hope through her work.

In the series, “PopPop” travels with grandson Ricky around the world and throughout time, discovering Ancient China, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome and Colonial America. They also blast off into outer space and dive under the sea.

Nancy says “I am an Autism Advocate/Advisor. I help parents develop strategies to avoid things that can exacerbate problems as well as help provide ideas that can help make their lives easier from the effects of meltdowns, anxiety, poor diet, poor sleep and many sensory issues.”
My degree is in elementary education, and my passion has always been to provide the best care and education for children. Walking alongside parents through some difficult journeys with typically developing and neurodiverse children has been the honor of a lifetime. In my 23+ year career as a corporate child care director for a large hospital, I saw a number of children who were on the spectrum. Many parents brought their children to the center after nights of little sleep. They were worried about their children’s nutrition because of poor diets and they were frustrated and overwhelmed by the meltdowns and anxiety their children were experiencing. I have felt so much empathy for them and thought there must be strategies to make things better and so I began to search for answers. Later a grandson was born and he is on the spectrum. I have continued doing extensive research into my retirement years and have found many ways to help the autistic community. I feel compelled to share what I have found.
I come from a line of teachers. Back in the early 1900’s, my grandfather was the teacher in a one room schoolhouse. Years later, my mother was a middle school teacher and then I became a teacher. While my husband was in pharmacy school, I taught math in middle school and then I was needed as a first grade teacher. After staying home while nurturing our three young children, I was hired as the director of a large hospitals onsite child care center which had 3 shifts of staff and was open year round, initially never closing even for holidays. I took that center through an arduous National Association for the Education of Young Children accreditation process and the center remained accredited for many years. After retirement, I have continued to do extensive research looking for strategies to help parents of autistic children and adults. I have a support group in the North Texas area for parents of mainly teens and adults.

Because others were encouraged, they spoke up about injustice,
Because they spoke up about injustice, a group was formed,
Because a group was formed, major action was taken,
Because major action was taken, children were saved from being trafficked,
Because children were saved from being trafficked, societies changed,
Because societies changed, the world changed.
All because of people’s positive thoughts and kind words.
