Remember our connection to the Earth – beyond recycling.  Seeing through the cultural myth of how we should live and living in a way that gives us more time, peace, connection to one another, consciousness.  I invited Elizabeth Cain to be a guest on  Transformations when she gave a talk at Unity that electrified, energized and shook me and many others up.  Her clarity, passion and dynamism are something she is using to make changes in how we related to the Earth and one another. She is instituting things like a composting site where members of Unity, its neighborhood and other churches can bring waste food, etc. and turn it into compost for gardeners to use and running classed on how to make things that will be substitutes for the plastics in our landfills.
The quest to be more loving and caring of the Earth and all its inhabitants. Elizabeth Cain is on the staff of Unity Church of North Charleston, SC and her role is Ministry Coordinator.  But a description should also read, powerful, speaker, knowledgeable, informed, dynamic person, concerned human being and an instrument of change for a better world.

To give you a bit of background on Elizabeth:
Elizabeth Cain holds a BA in Psychology and an Masters in Social Work from the University of NC Chapel Hill. She has mainly worked in nonprofit services to families and children. When she became a mother she entered the world of Montessori Education and holds a national certification in Primary instruction. She provided statewide educational opportunities in teacher continuing education. Lastly she is a certified Licensed Unity Teacher and is the assistant to the minister at Unity of Charleston. In this role she is leading the  the church and individuals on the quest to be more loving and caring of the Earth and all its inhabitants.

The seasons of my cellular memories.

Do Cellular memories have seasons?

How far back do our cellular memories go?

Do they delete on their own?

Do we carry them forever through every lifetime?

Yes, yes yes,

Our cellular structure is in the trillions, and each cell has a job to do and is important to our mental physical and soul well being. So if any one of them is holding a memory that is unfavourable to our wellbeing, it is going to manifest in some way in your daily living.

Seasonal? yes, because in the seasons of our lives, childhood, youth-adult senior, we carry different thoughts and feelings that hang around and not always for the better.

So how do we find these memories within in our cell structure?  well Betska K- Burr with her Mind-Kinetics, took me into a past that I had not even thought of for a while, but which was relevant to a blockage I had now.

We think our thoughts are linear and sequential, but that is not so, a memory of a particular thought can bring about a totally different feeling of what we think the issue is, it is fascinating and mind opening. Betska will be with us next week on the show, sharing her technique.

IF WE DO NOT EMPTY OUT THOSE MEMORIES THAT ARE DEEP IN OUR CELLS WE SUFFER. We get held back by carrying memories that do not serve us and cripple us from embracing all we need and deserve in life.

Tammy Manzo is married, has a teenage son and rescue Chihuahua, and is
interested in all things metaphysical. As a teenager she discovered astrology and had to hide it from strict Catholic parents. After going faithfully to tarot readers all through her twenty-something years, she finally decided to learn it for herself— just to see if what the readers were telling her was actually true! She discovered Reiki many years ago and is a Master/Teacher in both the Usui and  Practical Reiki modalities.

The Ujima Institute was founded by Dr. Lisa VanHoose. As a physical therapist and researcher, she believes that individual and societal wellness requires village-like efforts.

The Ujima Institute is focused on improving the health and wellness of underserved communities with an emphasis on black communities. The institute provides a space for women to recharge so they can care for themselves, their families, and their communities (H.E.R. Village), community members to seek out rehab professionals who provide holistic care and education(H.E.A.L. Village), and all persons to participate and promote community based participatory research(C.A.R.E. Village). However, the Institute works due to the efforts of many, not just its owner and founder.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE:
1. Healthy women are needed for healthy families and communities.
2. Communities need healthcare providers who demonstrate cultural humility, empathy, and a commitment to holistic, high quality care.
3. Research needs to be created, conducted, and communicated with community members to have the greatest impact.

Although Kwanzaa is rooted in African-American culture, the principles of Kwanzaa support our belief that we are all connected and we must address the needs of our brothers and sisters regardless of our differences. 
Dr. VanHoose received her PhD in Rehabilitation Science and MPH from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She completed the NHLBI PRIDE Summer Institute with an emphasis in Cardiovascular Genetic Epidemiology. Her BS in Health Science and MS in Physical Therapy were completed at the University of Central Arkansas. Dr. VanHoose’s teaching interests include pathology, physical agents, oncology rehabilitation, population health, and cultural competency. Dr. VanHoose’s research focuses on the incidence, prevalence, and severity of cancer related side effects with an emphasis on the disease burden of minority cancer survivors. She also investigates strategies to diversify the healthcare workforce to reduce health disparities. She has received both NIH and industry funding to support her research agenda. Dr. VanHoose is the Principal Investigator of the Cancer Rehabilitation and Wellness Laboratory. She is also the past President (2012-2016) of the Oncology Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.
