25-50. My Christmas shows

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from December 16th

This season brings us back to joy, to family, to friends, to the communities that lift us up. Christmas invites every soul, regardless of belief, to honour life’s blessings and share our light with one another. I’ve gathered a few of my holiday shows that carry this spirit and deserve to be heard again and again.

Listen, reflect, and pass the joy forward.

14/51 Ask Sara about The Lonely

This Christmas, be mindful of the lonely, see them, hear them and interact with them in some way, for we have all felt lonely along the way. Include them, see them, do not leave them out.

16-48 Christmas gift buying and the real gift of Christmas

We’re heading into the big, bustling Christmas season — when everyone (and their dog) seems to be out shopping. The stores are crowded, the noise is constant, and the one thing you came to buy is nowhere to be found. Frustration starts to rise. You’re a reasonable person… but this lineup is far too long, the sales clerk isn’t helping, that perfect gift is hiding, and everyone is rushing.

Breathe. Be patient. The season is meant to be joyful. ??

15/48 Tis The Season to Be Kind

Do not get caught up in the buying frenzy putting yourself in debt or keeping up with the Joneses, this is a time for GIVING, but of your SPIRIT, your KINDNESS, your HEART and your DIVINE LOVE.

17-50 Consumerism is not Festive, Love is.

Is Christmas all about gifts — who can buy bigger, better, and more than last year?
Or is it about love, kindness, and the togetherness of our families and communities?
I believe it’s the latter.

De-triggering Festive Stress

Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Chinese New Year – whatever the family celebration.  Is it a season of peace and goodwill to all men or a time of all-out war of attrition with the partner, stepchildren and/or the Mother-In-Law?

Do you look forward to family holidays, or are you of the “humbug” persuasion?

18-50 The Greatest Gift of All is TIME

Time. We are all living by the same clock, no matter where we are in the world. We each have a lifetime to journey through — and within that, time to give, to share, and to set aside for those who matter. It is time to remember that the greatest gift we can offer is our time.

18-49 Etiquette at Christmas

There is a kinder way to shop — one that keeps our hearts calm and our spirits aligned with what this season truly represents. Be patient with the people helping you in the stores; they are doing their best in the busiest time of the year. Buy thoughtfully, not anxiously. Don’t let stress steal the joy from your giving. Christmas is a season of loving-kindness, of joy and goodwill toward all.

TSM16-51&52 How to Handle Grief in the Holidays, with David Kessler

A loss of a loved one, or way of life, the loneliness and deep sorrow are very prevalent at this time of year, please be mind and heartful and reach out and care.

C16-51&52 Suicide is Preventable we just need to Listen & CARE

Tis the Season to be Jolly, but also the Season that so many people make attempts to take their own lives.  Kevin Briggs, a retired California Highway Patrol Sergeant, has prevented many a soul from jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge where he was a patrol cop for 23 years.

We all have mountains to climb, we all have moments when we feel despair, we all need to be heard to know that someone cares, Kevin shares how we can recognize that someone in trouble and what we can do to help them through it.

15/45 Loneliness is a KILLER…Be the Solution

Loneliness is a silent killer. Being forgotten, ignored, or simply unseen does real harm — not only to our seniors, but also to our homeless community members and those in major life transitions. When someone has shared a life with a partner and that person is suddenly gone, it leaves a space no one else can fill. What they often long for most is simple, daily human interaction.

14/50 Ask Sara about A Parents Message to Kids for this Festive Season

This Christmas go out of your way to let your parents know that you appreciate what they have done and have tried to do for you. After all, odds will be that one day you too will be a parent and all you will wish for, is your own children’s happiness, safety, health, and personal abundance. Hopefully, they will appreciate what you did for them.

I wish you Joy, Laughter, Love, and Peace to one and all over the world this Festive Joyous Season.

Remember saying ‘Thank You’ can work miracles.

There are so many in need of help, so many struggling and so many hurting for one reason or another. Here in BC Canada, we have whole towns underwater, farms destroyed, livestock dead, roads that are crucial to our survival lost to us and railway lines gone. More on it here. When we feel so helpless to help in this situation what can we do? We can support the organizations that are supporting the communities in need with donations that we can gift from the people we care about.

Give Hope. Donate in someone’s name and spread love to those who need it most.
A gift that gives twice — to someone you love and someone who needs love.

MH25-49. Jaime Taylor/ Struggles with Mental Health

Mental Health Awareness with Sara Troy and her guest Jamie Taylor, on air from December 9th

I have struggled with mental health my whole life. I know what it feels like to feel that there is no other way out but ending your life. I know what it feels like to lie in bed with your whole body aching because you are so sad and lost. I know what it feels like to be embarrassed, hide behind humour, hide behind a smile and then go home and cry. I know what it feels like to feel alone. If it wasn’t for the love I had for my mom and my sister at the time, I don’t know if I would still be here. Then I had children, so my why to keep going grew bigger.

I can see and feel peoples sadness. When someone hurts, I hurt. A stranger, a friend, a family member, it doesn’t matter. I have always been this way. I know how it feels to be in that place, and I know what it feels like to work your way out of it. Just wait, one more day…..If I can help one person in recognizing, their worth, it’s worth it to me.

25-49. Books for Christmas prt 2

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from December 9th

This Christmas, I’m continuing my tradition of giving gifts that go beyond the season.
Inspired by the brilliant authors I’ve recently had the joy to interview, I’ve gathered another collection of books that offer something deeper than a quick read. These stories and insights become companions—lifting us, challenging us, and opening new doors within.

Books have a magical way of staying with us. A powerful memoir reminds us we’re not alone. A captivating novel transports us to places we never knew we needed. A wellness or self-growth book becomes a guidepost when life asks us to rise. Each one holds the potential to spark curiosity, healing, and courage—page by page.

This isn’t just a gift guide; it’s a pathway to meaningful giving. Every book here is chosen because it can brighten a life far beyond the holidays—shared between friends, explored in quiet moments, or treasured for years to come.

So as you celebrate and gather, consider wrapping up a journey, a revelation, a moment of wonder. Give a gift that lasts—one that keeps unfolding long after the ribbon falls away.

“I wrote The Gate In Between for the seekers, like I once was. For those who find what they were looking for… only to lose it again. The Gate In Between is not a destination. It’s an invitation. To pause. To look deeper. And to finally remember what keeps slipping away — your Self.”

Each chapter opens with a story, drawn from my own life, and represents a symbolic gate. These gates explore themes we all move through: identity, perception, time, connection, and the space between what was and what might be.

I wrote Forget the Fairy Tale and Find Your Happiness because I lived it, and I know I’m not alone. Too many women believe society’s script that says happiness depends on finding Prince Charming and checking all the boxes. I believed that, too, in the beginning. My journey of self-discovery began with a bold choice to rewrite the story I’d been given. From Midwest housewife to global marketing exec to professor and author, I’ve learned that happily ever after isn’t handed to you—it’s built, one brave decision at a time.

That journey led to my signature class, The Blueprint to Sustaining Relevancy, Vitality, and Longevity. I’m sharing this because I know I’m not the only woman asking these questions. And this isn’t just about bouncing back, it’s about rising even higher.

THE WILD WHY affirms a universal truth – as Laura Munson attests: “We’re all creative! Every act of living is creative. Every step we take, every choice we make, every word that comes out of our mouth—it’s all an act of creation!” What could be more wonderful than that?

25-48. Musical Ai Art

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from December 2nd

When two guests had to cancel their shows due to family emergencies, I felt called to fill the space with something that has been medicine for my own spirit: the cinematic AI art and music of Kelly Boesch. Her work weaves human performers, exquisite styling, and generative AI into dreamlike visual poems that take you beyond the limits of the physical world and into a realm where imagination, soul, and sound move as one. For me, her videos are a form of meditation. The music soothes my nervous system, lifts my spirit, and quiets my mind, while the imagery awakens that childlike sense of wonder and reminds me that we are so much more than our human limitations.

In this episode, I talk about traveling beyond the white walls of our lives—how music, art, nature, breath, and imagination can help us step out of the weight of the body and into the spaciousness of our own divine essence. I share how darkness is not our enemy when we remember that we are the light in it, and how practices like music, movement, creativity, or simple stillness can bring us back home to the core of our being—where peace, love, and wisdom reside. Music, especially, is frequency that can reset our equilibrium, help us transcend the noise of daily life, and reconnect us to that “out of body, in spirit” place.

This show is an invitation: explore Kelly’s AI art and notice where it takes you, and then ask yourself, What does that for me? What sound, image, practice, or place transports you into your center, into that timeless, spacious, loving field within? Because when you find your own “music”—whatever form it takes—you find your doorway back home to peace.

My career journey began in the medical field, driven by a deep desire to help people, particularly from a supportive, administrative perspective. I thrived behind the scenes, ensuring the teams who worked face-to-face with patients had everything they needed. During that decade, raising two children shifted my focus. I sought a career that allowed me to contribute meaningfully to the community while offering the flexibility to be more present for my family. This led me from the corporate medical world to the non-profit sector. In 2023, I joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Vancouver Island, an organization that beautifully prioritizes families—both those they serve and their staff. This role allowed me the freedom to integrate my work schedule with my family’s needs, creating a powerful motivation to excel in a role that serves the greater good. In 2025, the board of Crossroads Pregnancy Centre approached me with the Executive Director opportunity. This felt like the perfect, rooted next step, allowing me to fully dedicate my passion to an organization that profoundly impacts the well-being of women and their families. It’s an honor to lead CPC, filling a massive systemic gap, and I am incredibly excited for this new chapter.
