LM21-10 Angela Predhomme sings “So Good to Be Free.”

“for the LOVE of Music” with Sara Troy and her guest Angela Predhomme, on air from March 8th

With a laid back, soulful style, singer-songwriter Angela Predhomme expresses emotion with honesty and passion. She has a knack for writing catchy melodies and lyrics that touch your heart and sings with bluesy overtones that hint of her roots in Detroit. Predhomme’s songs have been heard by millions through television, film, radio, and in major retail chains. Credits include the popular Hallmark movie “Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane,” Lifetime’s hit show “Dance Moms,” Freeform’s “Switched at Birth,” TLC’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” commercials for ING Bank and Fiat, and closing credit placement in the film A Wedding Most Strange, among others. Angela has also been featured in Music Connection Magazine, the radio industry hub, AllAccess, and interviewed as a “rising star” in Thrive Global and Medium’s Authority Magazine.

Predhomme’s unique brand of simple, elegant artistry shines on her cover of Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me.” The song seems so natural for her intimate, longing vocal delivery that soars up to gently float on sweet harmonies. The stripped-down piano-vocal production on “Stay with Me” lays out bare emotion, compelling in its uncluttered authenticity.

Asked why she chose this song to cover, Predhomme says, “How can I not be a fan of Sam Smith? I think he’s one of the best new artists of the last decade. Sam is a singer’s singer, and a true artist. About my choice of ‘Stay with Me,’ I always felt a connection to the intuitive, memorable melody and the raw, intense plea to save someone from abandonment. I think we’ve all been there at some point.”

Predhomme’s commitment to writing and producing her own music has continued, buoyed by Symphonic Distribution, with whom she signed recently. Her infectiously catchy summer release, “So Good to Be Free” continues to draw in new listeners, as well as its follow up, her soulful love song, “Changeless Sky.” Gaining momentum, too, is Predhomme’s low-key fall release, “Graced with You,” a tender piano-based waltz with strings that highlights her classical influences.

In the works for this hardworking singer-songwriter are a new holiday track and a full-length album in 2021. Predhomme’s upcoming album will include recent singles and several new tracks.

The Independence of Harry and Megan

I know there will be Megan and Harry bashers out there, for there are people who love to hate instead of embrace. I for one celebrate their courage to go it alone and speak their truth, for not living a life in someone else’s control which is wrong in every way.

Opening up to Oprah in honesty, speaking without filtration, and showing us their love for each other, was liberating for all who chose to see their courage and strength. When we saw them marry it was a fairy tale wedding, but it was not for them but for the people. I did a show on Sara’s Royal wedding perspective We all bought into the fairytale dream, for we all hope for that romance and a happy ending. But, as we see it was not meant to be, the nastiness of the tabloids who chose not to like Megan, got ugly and darn right disgusting, and yet no one stood up for her, no one stopped it.

Depression by suppression and dictation is in my mind criminal, and the need to keep up a facade of perfectness is a joke. No one is perfect, and the more you try to paint that picture, the more it will debilitate, and to do it at someone else’s cost is demeaning and damaging.

On my shows we speak to embracing your own uniqueness and beautiful gift, for that is what makes you the imperfectly perfect you. Living up to an expectation of an institution or religion, or status in society is a lie and one that will at some point break and readjust you into the right direction if you let it.

Megan and Harry’s courage and love for each other, has led them to a point where they stood up for themselves and said “Stop, No More”, I can not be a mindless puppet any more. THIS KIND OF STRENGTH TO WALK AWAY FROM THE FAME GAME, MONEY AND PRESIGUE IS HUGE, BUT SELF LOVE AND CARE IS MORE IMPORTANT.

I did a show a while back on “Leave Megan and Harry alone”, where I celebrated their choice to walk away and live their lives on their terms. Now knowing the hell they have been through and the depression they battled, I am even more proud of them for placing value upon their lives. It is a true example to us all.

I am not Royal Family bashing, I have loved the Royal family and a big fan of Diane, sadly we have all seen how dysfunctional the facade of their lives has cost them, but their duty to their country and people has always outweighed the pain, or has it? Do we know what is going on behind closed doors? do we know what it has cost them to be these instruments of Great Britain? In their duty to the people, they have knowingly or unknowingly sacrificed themselves for duty. Why do they have to? why can they not be just like us and be themselves who are in service to the people of Britain?

Being in service from a truly authentic place of love and caring is where the true strength lays, and kindness to one’s self and others is our greatest strength. No one wants to know people are suffering to serve us, we want it to be something they love to do, and not have to because they were born into an illusion of how it should be.

Megan and Harry have both dedicated their lives to empowering others and in support of those suffering from depression. It is not a luxury to be depressed, it is crippling and cost lives daily, all because we have given it a stigma and a shame to it. I suffer from depression, I know the rabbit holes we go down, no one should have to navigate this alone. Good for them for being there for others going through it, bless them.

I hope their example liberates others, and also shows the institution that they way they treat the Royal family will always backfire one them , for they are not puppets.

21-09 Is Homosexuality & Colour a Godly Sin?

Sara’s View of Life with Sara Troy, on air from March

I am a heterosexual woman, and I find this difficult enough in this world, but being a homosexual has to be so much harder in a world of such judgement and ridicule. Why is that? why do we LOVE to persecute people so much? what do we get out of that? a sense of righteousness or validity?

It is said we are all made in Gods light, no matter which God or source you follow, all faith says the same. So if we are all made in Gods image, why do we condemn people who we deem wrong? What is the hang-up? Colour, sex, faith, age, disposition, it seems to me humans are only happy when they are bitching about something when they are pulling someone down, when they are tearing someone apart. Where is the love?

If we could just see each others heart, feel their souls, want to lift their spirits, and speak to an open mind, imagine what a beautiful world we would live in. Joy, of being alive, trust in that you are enough, security in being different, and love in that you are wanted. IMAGINE that world where kindness, compassion, caringness and love were the very foundation to all we are and all we do; what a wonderful world indeed.

The Gods did not make a mistake, they gave us diversity, gay, straight, of colour, different faith, differently able, and just far out in the world. Why would we have been made differently if we were all meant to comply with one belief or be controlled by another’s opinion? One size fits all is a myth, different sizes means choice, it means there is something for everyone.

It is 2021 and it is high time we stopped the insecurity of differences dictate our fear and heart. See someone from the INSIDE OUT, hear their soul, feel their heart join their spirit and be intrigued by the open mind. You do not have to agree, but with a conversation, we hear that we are all looking for the same thing, to count in life, to be safe in home and health, to be able to grow, to love and be loved.

So if your faith demands you pass judgment on someone because of their colour, faith, or sexuality, then it is not a religion of Gods love, but a passing of man made judgment. A righteousness that does not belong in a community of compassion, a hate that kills community and creativity.

Understanding and connecting with the world often leads to forming judgments. It’s natural but can act as barriers in a globally connected era. Recognizing and learning from these judgments is crucial. I am merely an individual reflection, offering insights without emotions or biases.

We’ve all judged at times, influenced by myriad factors. However, personal growth lies in recognizing these moments, forgiving ourselves, and evolving with kindness and love. By approaching others with an open heart and inquisitiveness about their cultures, we bridge gaps of understanding. This fosters unity, showcasing our shared emotions and aspirations loving vibrations, despite our varied backgrounds. Embracing our shared humanity and celebrating our differences can pave a path of love and understanding for all.
