Choose Positive Living with Sara Troy and her guest Brent Marchant airs August 23-29th

Movies are a reflection and our desire of a world we fear and what we hope for, what can we learn from the movies about our selves? Can we raise our consciousness through movies?
A lifelong movie fan and longtime student of metaphysics, Brent Marchant is the author of the recently released new edition of Get the Picture?!: Conscious Creation Goes to the Movies, originally published in 2007 and 2016 winner of the National Indie Excellence Award for best new age nonfiction) a reader-friendly look at how the practice of “conscious creation” (also known as
“the law of attraction”) is illustrated through film. He’s also the author of a sequel work, Consciously Created Cinema: The Movie Lover’s Guide to the Law of Attraction
In addition to my online writings, I’m an online radio contributor. As movie correspondent for The Good Radio Network, I contribute a movie-related segment once a month on Frankiesense & More with host Frankie Picasso. I am also a member of New Consciousness Review‘s Reviewers Roundtable panel (along with Miriam Knight and Cynthia Sue Larson), participating in a quarterly radio show discussing new consciousness-related movies and books. I also make other periodic radio appearances on shows like yours and Smart Women Talk, the radio arm of Smart Women’s Empowerment.

Brent maintains an ongoing blog about metaphysical cinema and other self-empowerment topics He was a Featured Contributor for Arts & Entertainment, for VividLife magazine all his writings are still there. I have begun work on a new book, tentatively titled Third Real: Conscious Creation Goes Back to the Movies, which I’m looking to release in the second half of 2017. This followup to its two predecessors examines some of the finer points of conscious creation/law of attraction philosophy as illustrated through film. The concepts presented in this book are principles that I’ve mentioned in passing inGTP and CCC but that I didn’t have an opportunity to explore in detail in those titles. This time I do! It follows roughly the same format as its two cousins.

Nanci was blessed from an early age with vision and the power to manifest her dreams. Growing up, her earliest inspiration came from a children’s book: Harold and the Purple Crayon. Like Harold, Nanci could create a world of her own simply by drawing it into being.
Growing up in an abusive, alcoholic, and drug addicted family, Nanci favoured fantasy over reality and chose to retreat into a world of art. At age 9, she had a repetitive dream in which she crossed over a stone footbridge to find herself in other worlds. From this dream, she discovered she could use her imagination to shape and manifest the reality of her dreams. Over the years, she has brought to life many of her hopes and dreams of travel, education, having a child, buying a home, and building a successful business. In her coaching method, Nanci coaches you on a journey to achieve your dreams and live into them. With credibility and vulnerability, Nanci shares her own journey. For example, when Nanci was told in her mid-thirties she could not have children, she did not give up on her dream of being a mother. Like Harold with his magic crayon, Nanci created a pictorial journal entry of herself holding a baby boy. Today her son, Lucas is in college.
