Derek Taylor Kent is an author, screenwriter, performer and director based in Los Angeles. He is best known for his award-winning middle-grade book series, Scary School, published by HarperCollins, and his bilingual picture book El Perro con Sombrero, published by Holt/Macmillan. His first novel for an adult audience, KUBRICK’S GAME, was released in late 2016 and quickly became an international bestseller and was one of the best-reviewed books of the year, recently winning the Reader’s Favorite Gold Medal for best audiobook of the year.
