Your Health is Your Choice with Sara Troy and her guest Adam Stanecki, on air from July 11th
I believe that the breath is the foundation of all health and wellness. It is the most fundamental aspect of our being. And yet it is often overlooked. I am on a mission to remind people that they can positively impact their health, wellness, and performance through breath practice. Breathe practice has been a part of the human experience for thousands of years and it is time to reconnect and harness the power of the breath.
My name is Adam Stanecki. I’m known as The Breath Geek. As a child, I struggled with severe asthma, which I managed to eliminate with my own breath practice. I have been interested in the breath for my whole life. Learning how to breathe correctly literally changed my life. I am a Certified Instructor with Buteyko Clinic International, an Advanced Instructor in The Oxygen Advantage, and a trained breathwork practitioner and psychotherapist. I teach the Buteyko Breathing Method to adults, teens, and children to naturally treat asthma, allergies, anxiety, and more. I also coach individuals, corporations and sports teams to perform better with functional breathing.

The shroom boom is everywhere, with implications for health, research, legislation, the economy and the environment. Experts predict the global functional mushroom market will reach nearly 20 billion by 2030.
So many myths about mushrooms in the culture—let’s try to get to the truth, and #factsaboutfungi are almost always more fascinating than fiction.
Myth #1: Mushrooms are just a hot new trend. Current Western fascination with them certainly feels new. But despite media outlets declaring mushrooms the new black, the truth is that mushrooms have been essential food and medicine for humans since literally prehistory.
Spores found on the teeth of a woman who died 18,000 years ago indicate fungi was part of our hunter-gatherer ancestors’ diet. Pre-Neolithic 7,000-year-old rock paintings found in the present-day Sahara Desert depict humans using psychedelic mushrooms. Two types of mushrooms were found on the 5,200-year-old corpse of “Otzi the Iceman,” one of the oldest human mummies ever found, strung on cords around his neck and carried in a pouch. Archaeologists surmise he was using them as anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and tinder, and that along with his weapons, mushrooms were a key tool in his survival kit.
Robert Johnson is the founder & CEO of premium mushroom product company Mycroboost and supplements manufacturer Custom Capsule Consultants. His bylines have appeared in Rolling Stone, Cannabis Industry Daily, MG Magazine, Natural Products Insider, Nutraceuticals World, Nutritional Outlook, and Green Entrepreneur.
Prior to founding Custom Capsule Consultants in 2019, Robert was Co-Founder and Head of Sales at TetraLabs. During his seven-year tenure at TetraLabs, he helped pioneer the development of the industry’s first premium pharmaceutical-grade cannabinoid products, as well as the use of fractional distillation to clarify and isolate THC oil, and the first softgels on the market. He also served as co-owner and CEO at Canna Catering, which he grew from a bootstrapped start-up to a California industry leader in two years.
Sara says, “You have to try this coffee, it is great, and one cup gives you all you need for the day.” I am loving the Immunity Mushroom soft gels too.

Your Health is Your Choice with Sara Troy and her guest Christine Blanchette, on air from May 30th
Little did I know my passion for running would lead to launching my own tv show called Run With It. Following your passion can lead to following your purpose in life which in turn help others to do the same. I owe running a lot as I wouldn’t have started a show, write about fitness and health, and help others take up running. In addition, I always had an interest in media and had taken broadcast courses, and hosted a show called Westside Profile for Rogers TV. Combining both passions has allowed me to host and produce a tv show which has been an incredible journey.
Christine’s Five Ways to Sticking to the Program Despite how much I enjoy working out on a regular basis, however, there are days it is a challenge to lace my shoes. There are various reasons for not wanting to go for that run from not having enough time to being too cold. To help jumpstart into a positive mindset with my exercise regime, here are my five ways to sticking to the program successfully.
Having a mantra, writing it down, and saying it out helps gear me up to conquer anything and no matter how I am feeling that day. My mantra is, “I have an appointment with myself”, this reminds me that I need and want to take time out for myself. Running is my timeout.
Getting your gear ready the night before for the next day helps keeps me organized and accountable for that I will work out. What is helpful also is choosing your favorite gear to work out on certain days. It is a confidence booster to look and feel great, plus is an opportunity to go through your closet to give away gear.
Visualize the goal and write it down. Don’t get discouraged if the goal changes because of injury lifestyle change or work schedule. The key is to keep striving for the goal.
Have fun with your workouts; mix it up by going to the track, running on pavement or on the trail, or going to the gym. Choose an activity that you really enjoy, as you will most likely stick to the regime.
Don’t compare yourself to others. Your fitness is your journey; here is my quote,“Be Who You Are, There Is No One Like You.”

Help my group or organization learn how to “Think and Lose Weight”
Weight loss is a topic that has been misunderstood for decades. Products and services have been created and sold resulting in a multi-billion dollar per year industry. The marketing for this industry sells individuals on the idea of quick results with promises of “Lose 30 pounds in 30 days” or “Get a six-pack with these quick and easy steps.” These results are achievable, they say, if you buy their product or service.
There is no need to buy anything and you don’t need a guru or a system. Over the past 13 years I have helped people get out of pain and lose weight. I’ve heard all of the excuses and “reasons” why someone hasn’t reached their goal. I can sum up weight loss in one sentence: if you want to change your weight, change your habits.
5 Steps to Fix Your BS
Feel like life is passing you by? One day blends into the next and before you know it, another year has gone by. It’s time to take action. Here are five simple steps that will help you improve and achieve more than you ever thought possible.
Step 1 Identify the 5 pillars and what each one means in your life. Learn how each pillar affects your life/happiness (outcome to what people are wanting)
Step 2 Examine each pillar and assess what your life looks like today in each of these areas. What’s going well and what could use your attention? What areas do you hope to grow the most in?
Step 3 Digging Deeper. Now it’s time to look more closely at each pillar and be more intentional and specific at identifying the root causes of why these things aren’t unfolding as you’d hoped. Once we identify the problems, it’ll be easier to identify the solutions and create a path forward.
Step 4 Taking Stock of the Now – What would be your ideal feeling in each of these areas? What do your short and long-term goals look like? What behaviors, beliefs or attitudes are you engaging in that are moving you away from these goals? In this step, we take a moment to find out where you are starting from today.
Step 5 Chart Your Course – It’s time to start the path to having the life of your dreams. In order to do that, you need to have a plan. In this step, we look more closely at each area you want to grow in and create a specific action plan on how to do exactly that
Helping you envision and create the life and body you desire!
I got married in 2004. A little over a year later my wife and I welcomed our daughter. 5 months after that I graduated as a Chiropractor and 7 months after that we moved 2 hours south to start a business. In May of 2008, after 1.5 years in business, our son was born with dwarfism, which is very rare. This was unexpected and we were left with more questions than answers. Some of the complications of being born with dwarfism affected his health.
Over the next 12 months he spent a total of 6 months in a hospital 2 hours away from our new home. We were stressed in every aspect of life including mental, physical, emotional, chemical, and financial. My focus shifted from running a business, making money, and supporting a family to keep my son alive and my family together. Exercise, eating properly, and my health in general weren’t things I was concerned about. As a result, my health declined and my weight went up, and up, and up. I noticed changes in my health like a slight wheeze upon any physical exertion, I was coughing more, I had less energy, and it was harder to go to sleep and stay asleep.
I didn’t recognize or even like myself when looking in the mirror. I felt as if I had no choice but to focus on my son and family. The problem is, if I was not taking care of myself I would not be able to take care of my family. One day I recognized this was not heading in a direction I wanted and if it continued I would end up being in a place I did not want to be. At that moment I decided to make a change, but how? What should I do? Where should I start? This is when “Think and Lose Weight” was created. I took everything I knew and had learned in practice and applied it in this program.
