My story is about emotional resilience when life changes without warning and pressure becomes deeply personal. As a former Executive Vice President, I understood responsibility, leadership and high stakes decisions. Being diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer forced me to learn resilience at a much deeper level. I had to fight for my life while still choosing how I would live, love, lead and respond to the people depending on me. That experience became the foundation of my life’s work: helping leaders and people in difficult seasons stay grounded when fear is loud, protect their decision making under pressure and keep moving forward with courage and purpose. The message to pass is this: you may not be able to control what happens to you, but you can build the resilience to face it with clarity, strength and a life that is still fully lived.

I am originally from Kettle Falls, Washington, and my leadership journey began in the United States Air Force, where I served for six years, including combat roles during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. After the military, I spent much of my career in executive leadership, building teams, coaching leaders, and learning how to lead through pressure, change, and responsibility. Today, my work with Pinnacle Leadership brings together 37 years of leadership experience, my cancer journey, my faith, and my passion for helping people grow. Behind the profession, I am a husband to Kim, a father to Taylor, a man of faith, a cancer survivor, and someone who believes leadership is not just what you do; it is who you become when life tests you.
