Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy presents Cara Coles from March 17th on
Just like a lot of people I thought my life was pretty mapped out. At 36 years I had a great career within the health care profession, I worked hard and enjoyed all that life came with it. Then, with out reason this all changed when I developed adult onset epilepsy.
Just as my life came crashing down around me, I started a new journey in my life. This has lead me to writing my first book, sharing my journey of finding positive living, how it helped me cope and achieve a life long dream. In my book, I share the highs and lows during this period, I share situations I went through and how I discovered a way to help me deal with epilepsy the best way I could. Positive living changed my life for the better and I hope sharing my story will help and inspire others. positive-living/

“Cara is a poem that doesn’t rhyme, she’s a deep thinker, a scientist, a humanist, a positive thinker, a philosopher and a dreamer.
Cara is a painting that changes in the wind, she’s an animal lover, a person of the earth, a good friend, a guardian-angel for the less-fortunate, a fighter,a team player. She can be a loner when she wants to be, she can be obstinate if she chooses, but she knows her choice and knows that she can be easily misunderstood.
Cara is a flower that never fades, she’s kind and thoughtful, she’s an organiser, she is loving, caring and sharing, and works hard to play hard. She is my daughter and I love her to bits. I am so proud of everything she has achieved.”
But I wouldn’t intentionally upset her…

Suma Nathan our Wise Health host can be found here on PLV Radio atwise-healthShe brings 50 years of health wisdom to us each week helping us take charge over our own bodies. Listening to her and her guest will be a life changer for you.
Loren says My wife and I love our family and as you see our lives exist around them. She came from a family of 9 siblings, I came from a family of 15. We had 9 children and now they have given us 40 grandchildren. I came from a family of construction workers and I was no different. I worked by the hour for a few years then had to be my own boss, so far it has not changed other than I traded in my construction tools after 25 years to become what I really wanted and that was to be successful at helping others.
As we know, when helping others get what they want we get what we want. A Simple concept however not so easy because there are a lot of great products on the market but there are very few companies that have the leadership at the corporate level.
Since 1996 Q Sciences (Truehope) has been dedicated to improving the lives of those with mood disorders and has been successful in helping over 90,000 people transition from prescription drugs that “cover-up” symptoms to high-quality vitamin and mineral supplements that address the core biological issues that cause mental illness.
EMPowerplus Q96 is designed to promote mental well-being by providing a broad-based balanced supply of micronutrients needed for healthy brain function and development.
Research increasingly indicates that a lack of vitamins and minerals can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and mood disorders. Q96 is powerful brain food specially formulated to counteract these deficiencies.
A proprietary formula of 36 vitamins and minerals, Q96 delivers nutrients in a dosage that supports mood stability, cognition, and overall brain health.
The Q96® formula has been observed by 39 research scientists in clinical trials at fourteen universities in four countries and is backed by twenty published studies.

“When they open the history books ten years from now, it will talk about how Tony Stephan has battled hard with the bi-polar disorder that claimed his wife through suicide and threatened two of his ten children. It ended when he found the secret of EMPowerPlus Q96. The discovery gave son Joseph and daughter Autumn their lives back, along with over 125,000 people who have come to know the EMPowerplus Q96 Program. As his children continue to enjoy normal, healthy lives, he works tirelessly to ensure others who suffer as they once did, will one day have the same opportunity.
For Stephan, the assurances of a Calgary psychiatrist that his suicidal, uncontrollable teenage son would never improve and would instead deteriorate with age was the proud to find an answer. “She did me a huge favour,” he says now of the scolding he received that day. “It was a wake-up call when she told me ‘what you see is what you get; he’s going to be like this for the rest of his life, you have to get used to it.’ Stephan was told that he should prepare for another suicide in his family. That hit me in the gut. Something snapped. I was not prepared to accept that God would put people on the Earth to suffer like this. There had to be an answer.”
Everywhere Stephan looked, he saw mental disorders tearing at society; people on his block, many others in his town, millions across the continent, all suffering from a disease to which he believed there was a natural treatment. And so he prayed. And his prayers were slowly answered.
“People started coming into my life with little pieces of the puzzle. We looked under every rock, from amino acids to vitamins to minerals. I heard all the horror stories of how people spent their lives heavily sedated, became dysfunctional and lost their loved ones.”
Tony became aware of a theory regarding nutrition and mental health and began to unlock the secret. “He knew it had to be a balance of vitamins and minerals and that it had to be bio-available. We began researching the possibilities.
On Jan. 18, 1996, Tony placed Joseph on the formula he felt just might work. The boy was prone to uncontrollable outbursts, violent fits in school, and thoughts of suicide. Thirty days later, those symptoms had been erased.
“We’ve never looked back,” says Stephan. “We’re on the 11th generation of the supplement. It validates my belief in God because if we had missed just one thing in the formula, it wouldn’t have worked. The odds were a million to one.”
Today, Stephan explains how the answer was always there but had been lost in the scramble to use increasingly complex pharmacology. “This discovery was not ours. It was there since the beginning of time. We just lost the key to the knowledge.”
As of April 2013, EMPowerPlus now has 24 independent medical journal publications with 15 universities participating in the research and is now in 106 countries worldwide and has assisted more than 125,000 people.
Truehope was later successful in defending the people it serves, with a precedent-setting necessity defense against Health Canada’s actions who attempted to block access to Truehope’s EMPowerplus to Canadians. Stephan says “truly this has been a God Send and an answer to prayer”.
“Their Story Matters” with Sara Troy and her guest Wendy Mcclelland Aired from February 24th on.
Successful business, own home, raising 3 children, a good life, until she was hospitalised with E-Coli infection of the spine and brain that’s when life changed forever. How she came back is her story in “27 Steps to Freedom”
Wendy Mcclelland
In late 1999 I contracted an e-Coli infection that ate away portions of my spine (along with damaging other internal organs). I spent many months in the hospital, then more in a body cast (from my neck to my knees) as the bones were fused back together. When I was finally released from the hospital, I was still in the body cast and walking with a cane.
I went to live with my parents and was so blessed to have them take care of me. During this time I learned to move again and each day I tried to move a little more. The first few weeks I stayed mostly in bed, and hobbled around from the bathroom and back to my bed.
But, I knew I needed to move again, so each day I challenged myself to go further each day. After a few weeks, I was ready to move from walking around the house to going outside.
My parents lived in a home with a driveway that had a lovely big tree at the end of it. My goal was to be able to walk right to the end of that driveway and get to the tree.
It took me many tries (and many days) to get to the end of that driveway, but when I did I knew I was on the path to freedom. I knew that nothing could hold me back after that day!
It was 27 steps to the end of the driveway, and the more I thought about it I realized that each step represented something I had learned during my journey to healing.
I now feel strong enough emotionally to go back in time, and relive the journey and share the lessons of those 27 Steps.

Originally Aired January 13th-19th on Positive Living Vibrations with Sara Troy and her guest Simon Cole.
Invest in your mind body and soul this 2015 and get away to where you can find A Still Mind
Simon Cole was born in the south-west of England, where he also grew up, before launching into a first career in business as an economist. Some years later, following the start of a more pastoral passage of his life as a volunteer with the Samaritans and youth leader in the Methodist Church, he gained a distinction and special award with his Masters in Counselling. For some 30 years now he has been working as a counsellor, therapist and trainer in various settings, including the Health Service and private client work and course director of a counsellor training programme.
Eight years ago he moved with his wife to south-west France to start a retreat centre in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, which lie between France and Spain, rising in the Mediterranean Sea in the east and descending into the Atlantic in the west. Here, now, he practices a ‘therapy of mindfulness, counselling and nature, incorporating creative therapeutic work with counselling, teaching mindfulness and meditation’, writing, and, of course, walking in the surrounding hills and mountains. Le Sentier Tranquille, which means ‘the quiet path’, hosts individuals, couples and small groups in a residential setting, which offers privacy without isolation to its guests, and where the sense of community, sharing the evening meal prepared by Janet in the French tradition of table d’hôte, is considered an essential element of the therapy.
Le Sentier Tranquille saw the writing of Simon’s book “Stillness in Mind”, as a way to offer to a reader an experience a little like a stay in the Centre, as well as to give guests a means of reconnecting with their experience and maintaining the momentum of change in their lives. In it he offers a different way of looking at mindfulness and sets out the Clear Space Meditation Path, a non-religious meditation practice which connects with the teachings of key western therapy exponents and philosophers
“For me, Stillness in Mind and Le Sentier Tranquille are inseparable,” says Simon, “and alongside our quiet path, always, is the majestic beauty of the mountains of Pyrène.”
