Resilient Brilliant Authentic Parenting

What messages did we get in childhood about our own value and what voices do we have in our head as adults now? It’s a chance for parents who really want to be intentional in their parenting no matter the age of their children or grandchildren, to be present and fully supportive of their expression of brilliance.

It is a conversation to address patterns of sabotage that prevent us from actually achieving what we say we want in our relationships, health, career or finances because of a deep-down belief that we don’t deserve true happiness.

Welcome To The Parenting Revolution

PARENTING REVOLUTIONIST AND HOLISTIC LEADERSHIP CONSULTANT, HYACINTH JONES COACHES, TRAINS AND MENTORS PARENTS, CHILDREN, STUDENTS, EDUCATORS, AND LEADERS.

“My mission is to galvanise compassionate, creative thinkers with an educational influence, to be confident enough to make their own dreams come true and consciously make a lasting, positive impact in the world.

After years as an executive secretary in London and Brussels, Hyacinth re-trained to become a secondary school teacher in Belgium when her first child turned one.  Something was disturbingly wrong with the college experience. As a mother, homemaker, foreigner, student and trainee teacher, Hyacinth had an insatiable need for visible vulnerability and personalisation. She wanted to train to become a teacher to stimulate the courageous and galvanise the dreamers, but there wasn’t much room for that in the schedule.

Although she suffered burn-out while studying, one thing became apparent and that was her entrepreneurial spirit was not being nurtured in the standard college environment. Hyacinth set out on a mission to prevent parents, educators and students being stuck in lifeless careers yearning to grow fast by risking failure often and unapologetically and so she spontaneously dedicated six years to independent study (and practice – while raising a family, running a home, nurturing her marriage, starting a business and – marginally- keeping her sanity).
Hyacinth finally trained as a Holistic Life Coach and developed a methodology on how to recognise and honour our elemental nature and enhance our leadership potential, promoting self-compassion and improved outlook on relationships, finances, career and health. Over the years Hyacinth has lead workshops/ provided consultation to entrepreneurs, Chief Executives, IT and PR professionals, a national airline, a National Government Conference, local schools and international parent boards.
She has a dream of creating an educational leadership & wellness village putting, the power of imagination and connection back in the hands of the community, empowering them to dare to dream BIG and striving to reach those dreams together.

19-37 Pearls of Wisdom….Caring

Disasters are everywhere, the Amazon burning, fires in Africa, and elsewhere, Hurricane Dorian flattening the Bahamas, one thing after the other, it is easy to be overwhelmed.

This is a time we can thank whatever source we paray to that we are safe and sound, but who knows what tomorrow brings and who is next. So it is time to CARE….REALLY CARE.

At times like this is is a time to step up and help our fellow man/woman.child/animal/lifeforms. It is time not to say, “well it does not affect me so who cares” You should care, the Amazon provides 70% of the Earths oxygen, you breathe every moment of every day. These fires destroy lives, crops, your food, and lifeforms. We all pay the price in the end.

We know that governments are not stepping up, money for Fema has been directed to preventing children from entering the US and seems more important than other lives. We know that the Brazilian president does not care for the Amazon and wants to have heavy agriculture instead as it makes more money and is rejecting help from other countries.

So how do we CARE when they don’t? We care because we value life more than money, we care because we understand the ripple effect to us all, we CARE BECAUSE WE HAVE A HEART.

So in any which way you can support those in need, money donations, a money drive at school or work, gathering items to go to the Bahamas and where ever else is needed.

Imagine for one moment that this WAS YOU, would you not want someone somewhere to care? Would you not want someone to help in rebuilding your lives? Don’t wait for governments, we are a human race who need to step up and CARE and do whatever we can to help in any way we can. ONE DROP ADDS UP SO DROP SOME CARING ON SOMEONE SOMEWHERE.

Here Tricia is an intuitive coach, Reiki Master, bestselling author, teacher, speaker and enthusiast Tricia’s mission is to help empaths get out of emotional overwhelm, by learning what emotions are really theirs and what belongs to others.

I have always been an empath; however, four years ago my gifts grew.

For a while I was a train wreck. And, to add insult to injury, I was the one who had asked for my gifts to grow!

As they grew I felt waves of emotions crashing down on me – fear, anger, loneliness, feeling unwanted, depression…the list goes on and on. I was on emotional overload. I was hiding –  afraid the men in white coats were coming to take my ass away!

You see, I love people and being around people, so this hiding in my house with barely any interaction had me a bit stir crazy. More Here

19-36 Sara’s Pearls of Wisdom….Time Use

Time, we all live on the same clock, 60 mins in an hour, 24 hours to a day, 7 days a week 4 weeks to a month and 12 months to a year. How we use that time changes according to demands on your life, experiences, and time management.

Even though we have devices that work for us and that are supposed to make life easier for us, we all still to be fighting the clock. There never it seems to be enough time, yet we should be able to have more time on our hands because of technology.

Are we expecting too much of ourselves and not managing our time well enough and not dividing our time where we can dedicate time for us, for work, family and time to give away.

Time for YOU is a must, for if you are burnt out, struggling to meet deadlines or expectations you and your health will suffer. Taking some time daily even if it means leaving something else out is imperative to your well beingness. Be it a walk amongst nature, physical activities, meditation, music art whatever centers your self, make time to do it. For if you don’t you will be no good for anything else.

Learning to say no so you do not have the overwhelming demands on you is ok too. It is not the quantity of time but the quality of time in all your areas of life that really count. 8 hours at work being dysfunction, aids no one, being there because you’re ready intuned and focused on your work and is where we want you to be, serves all.

The family does not need you on your phone, of bringing work home, they want you so make sure you designate time for only them. Spouses want alone time with you, so delegate time for only the two of you for some quality time.

One of the most beautiful gifts you can give anyone is your TIME, free time, no money involved but time because you want to be there for them.

Volunteering in any way, giving of your time to enhance the life or lives of others is divine and one of the greatest gifts you can give. The investment of time you give seeds and helps grow so many possibilities for others and feeds your heart and soul that nothing other than this could serve you so well.

So take a good look at your time and ask your self, are you spending it well, wisely, and where all benefit from it especially you?

Fibromyalgia Linked to Gut Bacteria for the First Time

Scientists have found a correlation between a disease involving chronic pain and alterations in the gut microbiome.

Fibromyalgia affects 2-4 percent of the population and has no known cure. Symptoms include fatigue, impaired sleep and cognitive difficulties, but the disease is most clearly characterized by widespread chronic pain. In a paper published today in the journal Pain, a Montreal-based research team has shown, for the first time, that there are alterations in the bacteria in the gastrointestinal tracts of people with fibromyalgia. Approximately 20 different species of bacteria were found in either greater or are lesser quantities in the microbiomes of participants suffering from the disease than in the healthy control group.

Greater presence or absence of certain species of bacteria

“We used a range of techniques, including Artificial Intelligence, to confirm that the changes we saw in the microbiomes of fibromyalgia patients were not caused by factors such as diet, medication, physical activity, age, and so on, which are known to affect the microbiome,” says Dr. Amir Minerbi, from the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), and first author on the paper. The team also included researchers from McGill University and Université de Montréal as well as others from the Research Institute of the MUHC.

Dr. Minerbi adds, “We found that fibromyalgia and the symptoms of fibromyalgia – pain, fatigue and cognitive difficulties – contribute more than any of the other factors to the variations we see in the microbiomes of those with the disease. We also saw that the severity of a patient’s symptoms was directly correlated with an increased presence or a more pronounced absence of certain bacteria – something which has never been reported before.”

Are bacteria simply the markers of the disease?

At this point, it’s not clear whether the changes in gut bacteria seen in patients with fibromyalgia are simply markers of the disease or whether they play a role in causing it. Because the disease involves a cluster of symptoms and not simply pain, the next step in the research will be to investigate whether there are similar changes in the gut microbiome in other conditions involving chronic pain, such as lower back pain, headaches, and neuropathic pain.

The researchers are also interested in exploring whether bacteria play a causal role in the development of pain and fibromyalgia. And whether their presence could, eventually, help in finding a cure, as well as speed up the process of diagnosis.

Confirming a diagnosis and next steps towards finding a cure

Fibromyalgia is a disease that has proved difficult to diagnose. Patients can wait as long as 4 to 5 years to get a final diagnosis. But this may be about to change.

“We sorted through large amounts of data, identifying 19 species that were either increased or decreased in individuals with fibromyalgia,” says Emmanuel Gonzalez, from the Canadian Center for Computational Genomics and the Department of Human Genetics at McGill University. “By using machine learning, our computer was able to make a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, based only on the composition of the microbiome, with an accuracy of 87 per cent. As we build on this first discovery with more research, we hope to improve upon this accuracy, potentially creating a step-change in diagnosis.”

“People with fibromyalgia suffer not only from the symptoms of their disease but also from the difficulty of family, friends and medical teams to comprehend their symptoms,” says Yoram Shir, the senior author on the paper who is the Director of the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit at the MUHC and an Associate Investigator from the BRaiN Program of the RI-MUHC. “As pain physicians, we are frustrated by our inability to help, and this frustration is a good fuel for research. This is the first evidence, at least in humans, that the microbiome could have an effect on diffuse pain, and we really need new ways to look at chronic pain.”

How the research was done

The research was based on a cohort of 156 individuals in the Montreal area, 77 of whom suffer from fibromyalgia. Participants in the study were interviewed and gave stool, blood, saliva and urine samples, which were then compared with those of healthy control subjects, some of whom lived in the same house as the fibromyalgia patients or were their parents, offspring or siblings. The researchers’ next steps will be to see whether they get similar results in another cohort, perhaps in a different part of the world, and to do studies in animals to discover whether changes in bacteria play a role in the development of the disease.
