My guest today Dr. Ted Fattross, has been sharing and listening to stories for some years now in schools, organizations, corporations, and courtrooms, learning what our society really needs to heal. He is now standing up for all families in order to keep them together in liberty, independence, freedom, and equality, so our global society can branch out into embracing all that is possible in their lives, which will create collaborative, united communities.

He works not only with students but with teachers, school staff and parents as well. In the schools, he has visited he has left a lasting impression with very real results including changing the minds of suicidal and homicidal students.

I started out as a child. An infant, ignorant of the world and all that it holds. My environment and the desires of my family influenced me. Many things were wished for me but not much expected. I learnt to dream of becoming someone I could not be and of things that I could not become.

My desires did not match my abilities and my self-esteem was too low to believe in myself. This is not a “wow is me story” but one lived all too often by so many of us. The dysfunctional teach their young, in a dysfunctional world.

T.V shows us the ideal families, which we are meant to uphold.

In whose world I ask? And by whose evaluation?

All too often so many of us think this is the standard, that there is a foundation to everything in life.

What is the norm and how do you apply it?

Who is the norm and how do we judge that?

If a child is loved, fed, housed, and cared for with time well spent on them in a nurturing environment; is that not a whole family experience?

We are all flawed, no one escapes that, and this does not mean that we are all bad. Life is about learning; it is not by living someone’s unrealistic expectations, but by living by one’s conscience.

With each generation, we hope and pray that our young would have learned better lessons than us. We also hope that they understand that by being in the classroom of life, we all learn in a different way and by different means. It is easy to judge our parents for what you perceive as doing wrong, but try to thank them for trying their best in their limited understanding of the world and its ever-evolving ways.

Children be patient with us as we have been with you. Remember we know how hard it is growing up, we did it too. We know how hard it is to adjust constantly to life’s new rules. That is why I say to you, live by your conscience and do unto to others, as you would like them to do to you. Always think positively even when the odds are down, and remember if you will it, the sun will always come up tomorrow.

About Renée Mollan-Masters, M.A.
Renee Graduated with both her under graduate and graduate degree in Speech Pathology from California State University, Fullerton. She was voted most out-standing senior clinician by the facility.
She worked as a speech pathologist in the Fountain Valley School District and in her own private practice for 10 years. During this time she created with other teachers a reading remediation program which was later used statewide.
While teaching a College Success Class at Orange Coast College in Southern California she developed the You Are Smarter Than You Think program.
In 1997 the first edition of the You Are Smarter Than You Think book was pub-lished. At that time she was also invited to present this new idea at the Na-tional League of Nurses National Convention.
The Second edition of the book was published in 1992. For 10 years during the 90’s she surveyed nursing students all over the country. Due to the suc-cess of that work in 2011-2012 a legitimate study was conducted at the Uni-versity of Minnesota.
In 2013 as a result of this study and in addition requests from nursing facility and online program was developed.
2014 the completion of the online version of the book You Are Smarter Than You Think titled The Journey.

The second evaluation is based on language processing abilities. This is where Ms. Mollan-Masters, M.A.’s program is different.
